At Jackson Hole Outfitters, we spend most of our time providing guided and custom tailored adventures in the rugged backcountry of western Wyoming. We also host several events each year where we develop specific events and curriculum at our camps.
These events are designed as skills development, special hunts and fishing trips, and other limited opportunities.

Mountain shooting school
Rates: $2195 Per Person
Dates: August 2025 – 3 Days
JHO’s Mountain Shooting School is hosted at our Little Greys Camp. The curriculum helps you practice shooting scenarios during big game hunts in mountain terrain. This shooting school teaches the skills and tools you need to find success in rugged mountain terrain.

Horseback Grouse Hunt
Dates: October 1st – 4th
Rates: $2250 per person
Duration: 3 Days, 4 Nights
Join us in 2025 for our annual Horseback Grouse Hunt. We will hunt on horseback utilizing pointing dogs to cover country and find ruffed and blue (dusky) grouse.
This is a unique hunt only offered during the first week of September. We’re looking forward to hosting this hunt this year.
soda fork camp & packing school
Rates: Vary based on Group Size and Trip Length
Duration: 3 Days
Join us for our Soda Fork camp setup and packing school. Over the years we’ve trained dozens of guides through our guide schools (no longer offered) to pack and hunt.
Come along and learn how to pack horses and mules and set up our backcountry camp at Soda fork in preparation for the upcoming hunts. You’ll learn how to load, pack, and set up a backcountry camp. These skills are extremely valuable as you look to expand your skillset and stay for long periods in rugged backcountry settings.
