The Finest Guided Hunts Available in Wyoming in Region G & H, Jackson Hole, Teton Wilderness & Cody
Jackson Hole Outfitters has a track record of success in producing the finest big game hunts in Wyoming. With 8 permitted Forest Service camps, JHO has a variety of hunts available for mule deer, elk, mountain lions, bears, and bighorn sheep. Our areas are game rich, and we manage for sustainable trophy quality by limiting the amount of hunters in camp each year.
Our focus is to give hunters the best opportunity at success, which is why we offer 1-on-1 hunts that are tailored specifically to the goals of each hunter. We only host 2 hunters in each camp for each hunt each week. This allows us to prioritize our hunters’ goals and provide the best experience possible.
Summer scouting leads to location of many animals in the upper age classes that we can target during your hunt. Our knowledgeable, hard working guides, and our reputation based on honestly, integrity, and consistent results speaks for itself. Whether you’re miles in the backcounty, or staying at one of our drive-to camps, you’ll be comfortable, well fed, and ready to hunt every day to hopefully take the trophy of a lifetime.
We also offer a limited number of DIY drop camps, where you can utilize our pack animals, expertise, and gear to access the rugged country in our hunting areas. For more information about DIY drop camps, CLICK HERE.
Due to the limited nature of our camps, availability can be limited. We’d love to talk to you about your Wyoming hunt, so please reach out to reserve your hunt today!
mule deer hunts in region G,H
Jackson Hole Outfitters guides deer hunts in the famous Region G and H in western Wyoming. These units are well known among mule deer hunters to have the potential of producing big bucks. The country is beautiful, but rugged and physically demanding with peaks towering over 10,000 ft. It is recommended that you come in your best shape to conquer the terrain and be able to hunt for multiple back-to-back days.
Our hunts are conducted on horseback, beginning the day before sunrise. We have the ability to hunt a very large area and our preseason scouting allows us to target speficic bucks that meet the age class and goals of our hunters. Year-to-year antler growth can vary, but you can expect to be targeting a mature mule deer buck during your hunt.
While we don’t guarantee success, we do promise a rewarding and memorable hunt in what we consider to be the greatest country in the world.

These hunts are some of the best elk hunts in the state and we have harvested a number of bulls over the 350 mark. Archery and rifle hunts are available with a lot of opportunity at 6 point bulls.
Wyoming’s archery elk season begins on September 1st, and lasts until the end of September. The rifle hunts begin in late September to early October, depending on the unit. The camps are cozy and comfortable. Wall tents are equipped with wood burning stoves, cots and pads, and meals are served hot and ready after a good day in the field.
All of our horses are very experienced in the mountains, and make your hunt much easier. These hunts are physically demanding and would not be possible without good stock.
